PRA-420, PRA-422 Active Antenna Power Supply and TV Amplifier from Naval Electroinics of Tampa

PRA-420 is an Active Antenna Power Supply, low noise MMIC TV amplifier, and a ferrite splitter combined and designed to supply a small Marine TV Distribution System with 8-12 Radio and TV Outlets.

Amplification is continuably adjustable from + 10 dB to +30dB via onboard attenuators.

The hinged cast metal EMI shielded case is gasket sealed and highly water resistant. External CATV type "F" connectors are provided for the external antenna input and 2 branch line outputs as well as for an external signal source such as CATV or a VCR. An "O" ring cable gland is provided for the primary power cable.

PRA-422 is identical with the addition of a separate AM Radio amplifier with attenuator. Both devices will power two active antennas such as the PR-420 and PR430 when configured so.

PRA-430, PRA-431 and PRA-432 are for AM, FM, and AM-FM respectively and will work with PR-430 series radio antennas or the older VPA-30 antenna. Variable atenuators are privided for each radio band. This antenna is in common land based use for use with metal buildings where conventional antennas will not perform and on board ship for cabin/crew distribution.
