Drill small hole in the cornor of the back cover
insert a small nail in the hole
bend the cornor of the back as shown below
bend back the (4) tabs in the case with cutters to release the back
Slide a knife under the cover
Work the knife down the cover to take it from the case.
remove the back
common fault is broken solder connection or voltage regulator
Did you check the inline fuse?
