RE: San Carlos Fishing, Costa Rica and Nicaragua

Philippe Tissaux has been a friend of mine for many years. He is originally from Paris France but he moved to St. Martin in the Carib some time ago and started a  French newspaper there. The newspaper grew to be the daily for St. Martin. Then a big French Newspaper bought him out and Philippe found that he could devote his time to his love of fishing.  He was very experienced in deep sea fishing in St. Martin and his newspaper had even sponsored many tournaments there. After the sale of his paper he moved to Tampa Bay and brought his fishing gear with him. Many days were spent getting to know the local Snook and the Tarpon around Boca Grande.

Philippe had a love of Costa Rica and I traveled there with him several times. Being an adventurer, he was curious about fishing in the jungle rivers and also in  Nicaragua which was plagued with a bad name politically at the time. Eventually he and his sportsfishing boat "Julia Brava" trailored to places that had never seen a sportsfisherman. Surely the locals thought he was loco to go to so much trouble to catch the river fish that they had known all their lives. Well Philippe speaks Spanish and several other languages so he was able to glean a lot of information from the river people and he became well known to them. He married a local beauty, Carman and they have two young sons.

So here you have Philippe in the Jungle rain forests with world record class Tarpon and Snook and other strange fish that I have never heard of and you can go with him and have the time of your life. He will arrange all with you including pickup at the airport, hotels, meals and  full time guiding during your stay. You won't be out with dozens of other boats, you will be in the jungle rain forest  amongst monkeys, beautiful birds, strange tree frogs, exotic flowers, and with an experienced guide to hook more fish than you ever dreamed of.  Read his stories, but please with a heavy French accent, check out his photo album and then go fishing with him. You will come back again and again to fish with your new friend!
